A bronze inkwell with a brown patina, the receptacle decorated with canals and topped by a hinged lid hemmed with a frieze of acanthus leaves and embellished with a fretel in the form of a spinning top. It is supported by three feet terminating in lion claws and adorned with a woman's bust and a faun's head. The whole rests on a frame hemmed with friezes, one of foliage and the other of confronted shells. Late 19th century (oxidation, wear and tear, inkwell glass missing) Height 14 cm - Diam. 23.5 cm
