A straight mahogany and mahogany veneered writing desk, opening at the top with a flap revealing a drawer flanked by six drawers surmounted by three niches, and opening at the bottom with two leaves revealing a shelf underlined by a chest. It stands on four tapered legs topped with veined grey marble. The fluted front jambs are topped with brass scrapers and stand on four tapered legs. Cloverleaf locks with key. Late 18th century (a few accidents to the upholstery, an accident to the marble, cracks, chips and slight lifting of the veneer). Height : 140.5 cm - Width : 132.5 cm - Depth : 38 cm
