Griotte red marble and bronze mantel with double patina. The clock features a round guilloché brass dial marked Galle rue de Richelieu n°9 and adorned with Roman numerals for the hours, set in a bollard flanked by Psyche and Eros, it rests on a projecting base adorned with an applique motif depicting a wreath of roses and a laurel wreath interlaced, crossed by an arch and hemmed with a laurel leaf frieze, it stands on four feet representing winged lion claws. It is accompanied by a pair of Medici vases standing on a doucine pedestal hemmed with laurel leaves and canals, the body highlighted with palms and gadroons and flanked by two sockets, the neck embellished with flowering ovals. They stand on sheathed bases hemmed with palms and acanthus leaves in the spandrels, embellished with applique motifs.
