FUGERE Henri (1872 - 1944) Large ogival-shaped champagne vase or bucket holder hemmed with a frieze of posts featuring the head of Ocean on one side and Téthys on the other, topped with reeds and highlighted with a sinuous beard and hair, embellished with a crayfish and resting on a swan embracing the base. It rests on a pedestal with a wave-hemmed spout, centered on a falling dolphin adorned with a trident and an oar, set against a scaled entablature flanked by a Trière. The corolla border supports a metal lining. Signed Fugère et Siot Paris. (traces of stitches and wear). Height : 88 cm - Width : 28 cm - Depth : 31 cm
