Hussard officer's saber 1780, German-style brass hilt, short-tailed cap and single limb, fully filigreed spindle, 785 mm curved blade with hollow front and counter-edge, engraved with a mounted hussar on each side and Vt Hussard in a banderole, signed on the heel on each side "Veuve Goze & fils Marchand fourbisseur à Metz", brass sheathed scabbard with two black leather hollows, two rings and iron stinger, hilt with strap, wear, oxidation, LT 930 mm, France Louis XVI period.
