Kirman rug (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), Southeast Persia, circa 1940-1970 383 x 274 cm This rug features a large red polylobed medallion, extended by two pendants, on an ivory background enhanced by an elegant polychrome stylized floral design. The entire composition is embellished with four red spandrels. A wide red border with floral motifs is framed by numerous counter-borders. Wear, old restorations and accidents
