(oxidation, missing parts, wear, one wooden part to be glued back, sold as is) Height Height : 42 cm Note: An arts et manufactures engineer (Centrale Paris, Class of 1870), Philibert Pellin formed a partnership with Jules Duboscq, then on his death took over the whole company under the name of Pellin, located in Paris at 21 rue de l'Odéon, then at 5 avenue d'Orléans. He built numerous optical instruments for science and industry, often based on the physical properties of light (spectrum, polarization). Together with André Broca, he invented a type of constant-deflection prism known as the Pellin-Broca prism. A colorimeter is a tool for analyzing colored samples. In chemistry, a colorimeter is a device for measuring the absorbance or transmittance of a solution at a small number of predetermined wavelengths.
