Gilt bronze clock, the round white enamelled dial is marked Guydamour à Paris, it features Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes on the quarters, the perimeter is hemmed with a railway, the cut-out fleur-de-lys hands; it is surmounted by Cupid cutting his bow with a billhook from the mace of Hercules, the skin of the Nemean lion resting on his thigh, on either side the helmet and armor of the God Mars. The dial is supported by a podium featuring animated scenes; the first depicting Apollo defeating Marsyas, the central one showing children playing Colin-maillard, the third probably featuring Clotho and one of her sisters holding out the spindle of life to Hercules. The rectangular base is embellished with a central reserve depicting a lion-drawn chariot surrounded by music-playing cherubs, and flanked by hearts pierced by arrows within laurel wreaths and palmettes.
It stands on six feet. Round movement, steel blade suspension, external count wheel, striking on gong.
