Dance mask carved with a face painted gray and a particularly refined headdress with black hair, topped with a crest featuring two elephants facing each other and a donkey playing the tam tam.
Carved and painted wood, old internal use marks.

These very colorful masks, also known as "Ripolin masks", appeared with the arrival of the first paints brought back by the colonists. They were used for many festivities and are secular masks that everyone can see. Always embodied by a man, the mask itself represents the magnificent daughter of Zaouli, (the lion's daughter).
