Carved wooden mask with shell eyes

Particularly recognizable for their large shell eyes and distinctive nose. These miraculously preserved masks were placed on top of the bundles containing the human remains of the deceased. It would be more accurate to call them dummy faces, as they replace the face of the deceased during funeral ceremonies.
