Mechanical alarm clock in bronze and gilt brass, standing on four feet to support the striking system, the plate supports the location of the watch as well as a last floor presenting the alarm, the wheel is engraved Henry Robert in Paris. The round clock has a white enameled dial with Roman numerals for the hours, steel Breguet-style hands, and a cock movement signed "Tarault jne à Paris" and numbered N1395. Second half of the 19th century (restorations, slight wear to dial). Height : 4.5 cm - Width : 6.5 cm - Depth : 5.8 cm Presented under a globe Height 13.5 cm - Diam. 10 cm Note: The watchmaker Laresche filed a patent around 1820 for this alarm clock, which is economical in design since it has no hourly movement, but a simple striking mechanism triggered by a watch. Henry Robert took over from Laresche in 1829.
