QUIMPER - Henriot Manufacture - Bodin (author of the decoration) Earthenware plate with polychrome decoration in the basin of a cock flanked by two fauns underlined by a helmeted dog the tail between the legs, the wing is hemmed with vine shoots and marked "They are too green" Mark on the reverse of the manufacture, annotated " Circle of the soldier of VI° Arrt 1917 Bodin ". (withdrawals of enamel, wear to the decoration) Diameter : 23 cm Note : The municipality of the VIth district of Paris decides to publish art faience for a charity sale for the benefit of war works. Models are created by students of the schools of decorative art of Paris. These drawings, directly referenced to the period, will be reproduced, according to the needs, by the manufacture of Quimper Henriot in 1917. All the plates are marked "Cercle du Soldat du VIe arrondissement" as well as the name of the Parisian creator of the design. The President of the Republic, Raymond Poincaré, inaugurated this charity sale in June 1917, in the village hall of the VIth arrondissement.
