He began his studies as a cabinetmaker in 1939 before studying design in Arhus. In 1944 he founded the company J.L.Mollers Mobelfabrik. It designs furniture with simple and timeless curves with rigorous production techniques. The company received prestigious awards such as the Danish Furniture Prize in 1974 and 1981. J.L.Mollers Mobelfabrik continues to produce beautiful furniture. It has remained a family business, it is indeed managed by Jorgen Henrik Moller, who is the son of the designer Niels Otto Moller.
