Cartel on foot in marquetry known as Boulle of tinted red to - Lot 177
Cartel on foot in marquetry known as Boulle of tinted red tortoiseshell and brass. It is supported by four horses and presents the chariot of Apollo in front. The gilt bronze dial is decorated with enamelled cartouches indicating the hours in Roman numerals. It is surmounted by a radiating mascaron framed by four ewers in the angles in recall in the lower part inscribing itself in an entourage of flowery garlands. The edges are decorated with caryatids representing the four seasons. The base is decorated with an inlaid scene of hunting and draperies in fall. It rests on four feet. 19th century Height : 90 cm 90 cm - Width : 61 cm - Depth : 25 cm (accidents and missing, missing a caryatid, many jumps and missing inlays of tortoiseshell and brass, lifts, wear to the wood, elements to be reattached)
