LE NANTEC Jacques (born in 1940) Ariane Brown patina resin Signed and dated 87 - Numbered 22/300 High. : 50 cm - Width : 32 cm - Depth : 30 cm - Height with base : 55 cm Note: Pseudonym of Jacques Métayer. In 1959, Jacques Le Nantec entered the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris. To live and finance his sculptures, he is in turn decorator, cartoonist (newspaper Spirou) and wax figure modeler. From 1969, he realized public commissions such as the Monument to Marshal Jean de Lattre de Tassigny in Mantes-la-Jolie. In 1990 he created a foundry in Ayutthaya, Thailand. The artist opened successively a gallery "East Wind West Wind" then his "Secret Museum" in Macau from 2006, the place of his current residence. Bibliography : J. P. A.
