BACCARAT - BALLET André (1885-1959) Two covered crystal flasks with a painted decoration of orange and white geometric motifs Signed on the reverse André Ballet and numbered 109 and 121 as a reminder on the caps (minute sparkle on the inside edge of one and a sparkle on the inside edge of the other) Top. 13 cm and 11 cm Note: Throughout his life André Ballet devoted himself to many artistic forms, mainly the decorative arts. As early as 1914, he decorated Lalique's glassworks with blue and gold. In the 1920s, he designed bottles with enamelled decorations, notably for Louis Vuitton. For the latter, he also composed decorated knives and brushes. He created models of knives for Bébert frères, in metal and ivory. His works are exhibited several times: his glassware at the Galliera Museum in 1923, his bindings at the Galliera Museum in 1924, his ceramic tiles and cutlery at the Galliera Museum in 1930.
