Officer's sabre, horseback hunter type, single-branch brass mount, long-tailed pommel (missing), leonine tuft, mumps in the shape of a shield, one brass and the other copper, horn on branches, shagreen-covered and filigree, very beautiful slightly curved blade of 77 cm, with wide throat and pointed counter-edged edge, Engraved 2/3 foliage and trophy and signed on one side "Knecht & Stamm" and on the other side "in Solingen", deformed guard, wear, oxidation, SF, LT 90 cm Germany, end of 18th - beginning of 19th century When the Pont d'Arcole was taken in 1796, Bonaparte was carrying a sword signed "Knecht & Stamm in Solingen", this sword is nowadays kept in the Museum of the castles of Malmaison and Bois-Préau.
