LACHENAL Edmond (1855-1948) Hollow earthenware dish with polychrome decoration of flowers in the Iznik taste in the basin, the poly-lobed rim is decorated with a frieze of poly-lobed arched motifs. Signed on the reverse side intaglio Around 1885-1890 Diameter : 22,5 cm Note : A student of Theodore Deck, Lachenal discovered the Iznik earthenware dear to Theodore Deck. From 1880 onwards, Lachenal established on his own will continue to be inspired by the Ottoman culture in his creations.
